This happened after Candace Owens made certain claims about Scott on the recent episode of her podcast, Candace. In the episode, she claimed that he was allegedly unhappy with Lively for reportedly threatening Taylor Swift.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared what Owens revealed in her podcast. They wrote, “Per Candace Owens allegedly the Taylor Swift “insider” who spoke to Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, revealing Blake Lively’s lawyer threatened to blackmail Taylor Swift was Scott Swift aka Taylor Swift’s father. Daddy Swift will always protect his daughter.”

Owens further claimed that Scott came to his daughter’s rescue after allegedly being blackmailed. She said in her podcast, “This was a savage move…I wanna be clear, the reason why I respect this move is because it’s his daughter. I’m always going to respect a parent that is willing to burn it all down to the ground to protect their kid. But what clearly set him off…would have been this extortion attempt…You don’t come around and try to play any game with a person that is financially savvy.”

Nevertheless, these are just claims made by Candace Owens. Neither Taylor nor her father has made any statements regarding this.

He claimed that she used her friendship with the singer to make changes to the It Ends With Us script. However, Taylor’s reps denied any kind of involvement by her in the movie, aside from a song. On May 14, 2025, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, also alleged that Lively is blackmailing Taylor to support her. Albeit Lively’s team denounced these allegations.
