The promotional campaign for Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has so far revolved around Yash's commanding screen presence and director Geetu Mohandas' striking visual style. While that has offered audiences a taste of the film's gritty world, one question has lingered ever since the project was announced: who are the women standing beside Yash's enigmatic protagonist?

The makers have finally offered a few answers, although not in the way fans might have expected. The newly released 'Ladies & Ladies' teaser introduces Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi through a series of evocative glimpses that reveal little about the plot but plenty about the film's mood and themes.

Instead of functioning as a conventional character introduction, the teaser builds intrigue around each woman, suggesting they are central to the story unfolding within Toxic's dangerous universe.

A teaser built on mystery and mood

The video begins with an irreverent disclaimer that immediately establishes the film's rebellious tone.

"Kids... stay away. Parents... make sure your kids stay away. Grandparents... make sure your kids' kids stay away. Great grandparents... at your own risk."

What follows is an atmospheric montage underscored by a haunting female voice-over that hints at the emotional core of the narrative.

"Love makes monsters of women. It is a beautiful illusion, if one understands the depth of its deception."

Rather than revealing motivations or relationships, the teaser leans into symbolism and striking imagery. Nayanthara exudes calm authority in her brief appearance, while Kiara Advani's glimpse balances vulnerability with quiet intensity. Tara Sutaria appears poised and self-assured, hinting at a character who is far more than a glamorous presence.

Kiara and the film's mystery women in the spotlight

Rukmini Vasanth is introduced amid explosive action, accompanied by the line about "fighting for the scraps of devotion," suggesting a role shaped by conflict and survival. Huma Qureshi, meanwhile, appears only briefly but leaves an impression of resilience and determination.

The teaser gradually pieces together a world fuelled by desire, betrayal, revenge and violence before posing a provocative question: "Do you want to come one at a time, or all together?"

It then signs off with what may be its defining line: "Every lady is a plot twist."

The women appear to drive Toxic's story

That final statement could well be the biggest clue the makers have offered so far. Instead of presenting its female cast as supporting players in a hero-driven action spectacle, the teaser suggests that each woman has a decisive role in shaping the film's narrative.

It is a notable shift from the campaign's earlier promotional material, which largely highlighted Yash's return to the big screen following the phenomenal success of the KGF franchise. While those teasers established the scale, action and visual identity of Toxic, 'Ladies & Ladies' expands the emotional and narrative canvas by placing its female ensemble at the forefront.

Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, Toxic marks one of the most anticipated Indian releases of the year. The film has been produced by KVN Productions in association with Monster Mind Creations and has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English. It will also release in dubbed versions across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, reflecting the makers' ambitious pan-Indian and international vision.

Toxic s Ladies Ladies teaser puts Nayanthara Kiara

Set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026, Toxic continues to guard its biggest secrets closely. But if the latest teaser is any indication, the women at the heart of the story may prove just as unpredictable and compelling as Yash's mysterious protagonist.
