Tour de France to return to Britain in 2027 - 13 years after a stage was last held there - with Edinburgh chosen to host the Grand Depart

The Scottish capital will hold the first of three UK stages of the world's biggest bike race, which is starting on these shores for a third time after the events in London in 2007 and Yorkshire in 2014.
