Simone Biles can do everything, right? The fans and the gymnastics enthusiasts will agree with that. After all, Simone has made her comeback every time and stood on the ashes explaining herself in a new form. She did that in 2023 while returning from a two-year hiatus, and she did the same in the Paris Olympics, where critics questioned her age and mentality. However, Simone proved them wrong in the French metropolis by claiming three medals, including the one in the vault event. Vault event? Was there something special? Yes, Simone defeated the defending champion, Rebeca Andrade, to win it. But apart from that, there is another stunning part to it.

In her latest interaction with TIME, Simone disclosed the stunning part. She said, “I was 27 years old doing a Yurchenko double pike—maybe I’m crazy!” Is it her realization 8 months after that night? No, there’s more. In the interaction, Biles also said, “It is wild now that I think about it.”
