Despite its title, Derek Cianfrance's Blue Valentine is absolutely not a film you should watch with your significant other on February 14th. That is, unless you want to spend time silently reevaluating your entire relationship as the credits roll. The 2010 tragic romance starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams is a devastating deconstruction of faded love, and probably the only movie in Gosling's filmography that comes close to rivaling The Notebook in terms of the number of tears it's elicited from viewers over the years.
