By stepping into the shoes of the iconic journalist character Lois Lane in Superman, Rachel Brosnahan may have just found her true north. Yes, she won an Emmy for wielding a microphone in smoky comedy clubs in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as the titular Midge Maisel, but there is another role she played that aligns much better with director James Gunn’s vision, which entrusted her with breathing life into Lois. Brosnahan's turn in the film is punctuated by fear and silence, and she flourishes.
