As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka Chopra had charged a bomb for the movie. However, the makers negotiated with her and she is reportedly being paid Rs 30 crore. Even though the amount is less than what she charged, it still makes her the highest-paid Indian actress. "This is why they took so long to announce her participation in the project. She was not willing to budge over her fee, and why should she? Why should only the male actors get double-digit salaries in our films?" a source had informed Bollywood Hungama.

SS Rajamouli's SSMB29 is reportedly going to go on floors soon. Priyanka is in India for the same and has indirectly confirmed her presence in the film with her recent Instagram post. So far, there is no update on the rest of the film's cast.
