After losing the last two games on the road, the Lakers were looking forward to the upcoming home stretch, which was supposed to start on Thursday with the Hornets encounter. Unfortunately, nature had other plans. Due to the ongoing wildfires in LA, the game was postponed. Adding to the Lakers’ misery, tomorrow’s home game against the Spurs has also suffered the same fate because of the tragic incident. Obviously, the team is feeling helpless just like everyone else and it has even led to LeBron James praying for the nightmare to end.
Following the postponement of the Spurs game, LBJ tweeted, “I pray this nightmare ends soon! So many prayers.” Of course, this is not only about the games being postponed, but also about the destruction the wildfires have caused in the City of Angels. Even after four days, areas of LA continue to be affected by the wildfires. Latest reports suggest that more evacuation orders are in process as the fires continue to spread.
