On the surface, 1994's The Shawshank Redemption and 2007's The Mist don’t have much in common. Both share a director inFrank Darabont and are based on Stephen King novellas, but one is an uplifting prestige picture known as one of the greatest movie of all time, and the other is a somewhat forgotten creature feature.
