The shocking Emmerdale moment Kim tells the world Thea is her daughter

Kim Tate (Claire King) proves to DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) that she’s serious about welcoming her into the family in Emmerdale, as she announces some major news to the entire pub in this new video.

Earlier this year, DS Ramsden arrived to investigate Doctor Todd’s sudden death.

We discovered that she had another reason for being in the village, as Thea was determined to destroy Kim.

But why?

It was the question viewers asked for ages, and they eventually learned that Thea is Kim’s biological daughter, and resented her for putting her up for adoption shortly after her birth.

Thea plotted her revenge against Kim, but her emotions got in the way a few times when she sensed that her mum may not be as vicious as she thought.

Her belief that Kim might have a heart went out the window when Thea convinced herself that Kim and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) were planning on selling Baby Tate.

Thea broke into Home Farm, only to end up in an altercation with Kim which ended in Thea getting stabbed by her own mother.

Thea was rushed to hospital, where Kim eventually discovered that the woman is her daughter.

In the weeks since the discovery, Kim has attempted to make amends with Thea, who opened up about the trauma she experienced as a child and how her childhood wasn’t a happy one.

Kim was riddled with guilt over such a thing but she makes it her mission to make things right and in upcoming scenes set to air next week, she invites Thea to the pub.

In emotional scenes, the Home Farm businesswoman stands up and tells the punters that the detective sitting beside her is her daughter. The news leaves those in attendance – particularly Charity (Emma Atkins) and Sarah (Katie Hill) – in shock but Thea couldn’t be more happy.

Is this the beginning of a special bond forming for the mother and daughter duo? Or will more conflict arise?
