Character actress Gwen Van Dam has died at the age of 96, it has been confirmed.
Her son, Dirk Smillie, confirmed the sad news to The Hollywood Reporter.
She died following a battle with cancer at her home in Los Angeles in December.

In 2019, she appeared on the Netflix show Grace and Frankie, and appeared on some of the biggest shows, including Joey, Charmed, Gilmore Girls and The Brady Bunch as Mrs. Watson.
Other credits include Star Trek: Generations, ER, Knots Landing, S.W.A.T, and Me You Madness.
The late actress, who reportedly hailed from San Francisco, had a total of 139 acting credits by her name on IMDB and her first credit was back in 1955 for an episode of Robert Montgomery Presents.

Two credits, No Tears in Hell and Winters Garden, were upcoming.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, she also starred in a series of music videos during her career, including for artists including U2, Lil Wayne and Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
Van Dam worked on both the stage and screen throughout her long career, including in theatre productions in Los Angeles and once turned down a contract with Columbia Pictures after a student advised her not to "move to Hollywood".
The late star was married to Scottish-born actor Bill Smillie before his death and is reportedly survived by her children and grandchildren.
