A STRICTLY fan favourite has sparked fears she is QUITTING the show after she announced a huge new job away from the BBC.

The dancer, 35, has been a popular member of the pro line-up, since joining the show in 2016.

But fans fear that Strictly star Katya Jones is getting ready to leave the hit BBC One show.

It comes after it was revealed that she had taken a new job abroad.

Taking to Instagram, Katya revealed: “I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be joining ‘Dancing with the Stars Belgium’ as a judge!

“It’s time to bring my passion and knowledge to the panel and celebrate the art of dance that unites us all, celebrates diversity and brings people together.

“Teach me some Flemish words that I can use on the show?

Despite Katya being confirmed to do the new series of Strictly Come Dancing this autumn, fans immediately shared their concerns she might quit.

One commented: “I hope this doesn’t mean you’re leaving Strictly in the UK?”

While another said: “Congrats Katya! Please don’t leave our Strictly.”

This one asked: “Are you leaving Strictly?”

Earlier this year, Katya risked the wrath of BBC bosses by supporting Wynne Evans when he was axed from Strictly tour for inappropriate comments.

She shared a statement with her followers which said: “Let’s show humanity and consideration.

“I will miss you my darling boy.”

An insider told The Sun at the time: “Normally, celebrities are inclined to stay silent in the midst of a scandal, but Katya has been vocal with our support of Wynne online.

“Nothing has been brought up officially by the BBC as of yet, but those involved would prefer if she didn’t comment and everything was dealt with in-house.”

During her time on Strictly, Katya was involved in “kiss-gate”.

In 2017, the dancer – who was married fellow pro Neil Jones – was caught kissing her celebrity partner Seann Walsh.
