Court documents show that the couple signed a prenuptial agreement that governs the division of community property assets and debts. Guttenberg agreed to pay spousal support and asked the court to have both parties cover their own attorneys’ fees and costs.

The duo first crossed paths in 2014 when a blind date was arranged for them. They hit it off and moved in together the following year. Toward the end of 2016, they announced their engagement and tied the knot in California in January 2019.

At the time of their engagement, Emily wrote “Yes, yes, yes” on Facebook alongside a photo of the couple by a decorated Christmas tree. Later, CBS New York reporter Scott Rapoport, who had arranged their blind date, shared a photo of Emily in her wedding dress and captioned it as, “Here Comes The Bride #SweetStunningEm.”

In a 2017 interview with The Daily Beast, Guttenberg described Emily as “the real deal” and said, “She makes me a better person which I really like. I have to up my game around her.” He added, “She’s a very classy lady. She creates a wonderful home, her value system is terrific, and her character and integrity, and sense of humor … she’s a really nice lady.”

Previously, Guttenberg married model Denise Bixler in 1988 and divorced her in 1992. And now, after six years of marriage, he has decided to call it quits with Emily Guttenberg.
