A recently-released PS5 adventure game has received a PS4 version following a brief delay, which existing owners can now claim for free. Revenge of the Savage Planet‘s PS4 copy was recently shadow dropped almost a month after its PS5 launch, but its PS Store listing did not entitle existing owners to claim the last-gen version.
Revenge of the Savage Planet PS5 owners can now download PS4 game free of cost
With the PS Store entitlement issue now fixed, those who purchased Revenge of the Savage Planet prior to its PS4 release can head over to the PS Store and download the last-gen version.
If you purchased the The Cosmic Hoarder Edition, you will be entitled to the PS4 version’s DLC as well. However, there are reports that Cosmic Hoarder Edition owners still aren’t able to claim the last-gen copy.
Both versions of Revenge of the Savage Planet come with identical trophy lists, but they don’t auto-pop. Players who want to stack trophies can double dip free of cost, but will have to go through the game again to unlock the second set.
Revenge of the Savage Planet released in May 2025 to positive reviews. The game is also available on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
