Power: Who Is Breeze in Raising Kanan Season 4?

In Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 4, viewers are introduced to Breeze (Shameik Moore), who will have a major role to play alongside Kanan in building their drug empire. Breeze only finds a mention in the original series, Power.

The showrunner, Sascha Penn, has teased that Breeze’s introduction to the story will play a pivotal role in connecting all the “missing pieces.” The final season of Raising Kanan will unveil the dynamic history of Kanan and Breeze.

Who is Breeze in Power Book 3: Raising Kanan Season 4?

Shameik Moore is playing the role of  Bradford Frady, aka Breeze, in Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 4. As per the storyline, Breeze is a drug kingpin who employed Kanan Stark, James St. Patrick, and Tommy Egan.

Longtime viewers of the Power series are aware that Breeze faces a tragic fate in the story. He ultimately gets betrayed by Ghost, who also ends up killing him. However, it is not certain if the death will be a part of the Season 5 storyline for Raising Kanan.

The showrunner, Sascha Penn, discussed the mixed opinions regarding Breeze’s entry and what Shameik Moore’s character’s journey would be. Penn admitted, “Breeze always existed as almost this mythical character in the original Power, where there’s been [arguably] more speculation about this character than any in the Power universe.” (via The Hollywood Reporter)

In another interview, the screenwriter told Variety, “I always felt like Breeze couldn’t just come out of nowhere, that he somehow had to be organically connected to the story we were telling in the characters on the show.”

Penn added that the penultimate season of Raising Kanan will deliver all the answers. Gushing over the final season, he noted, “I think it’s a real emotional journey. It’s a worthy ending to the story that we’ve set out to tell. I don’t think there’s a false step. It all feels genuine, and I also think many surprises will come.”

While viewers brace for an intense ending, Penn teased that the final season may leave some “stunned.” He concluded, “But I hope that everyone feels satisfied. I believe they will. This is not one of those endings that is open to interpretation.”
