Anycolor and Cover have revealed that their respective Vtuber groups, Nijisanji and Hololive, will hold a major collaborative baseball video game match. The event will have the official title Niji-Holo Exhibition Match, and it will take place physically in Hokkaido on May 24-25, 2025.
Sasaki Saku and Shirakami Fubuki will become key figures of the event as they have been appointed as the chairwomen for their respective groups. Fubuki will also bring Amane Kanata and Usada Pekora as coaches for the Hololive team. Meanwhile, Saku has appointed Hoshikawa Sara and Lize Helesta to coach the Nijisanji side.
The two team chairwomen will simultaneously launch live streams dedicated to the event on their respective YouTube channels on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 8 PM JST (7 AM EDT). Besides providing more details about the event, each group will also hold a draft of in-game players whom they will add to their respective teams.
The collaborative match between Nijisanji and Hololive will take place in Konami's real-based baseball game, Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-2025. But while the game is available on PlayStation 5 and PC, the groups have yet to specify the platform they will use.
The Japanese press release added that Anycolor and Cover will also utilize the two gigantic screens inside the Es Con Field to showcase the Vtubers. In addition, the companies will place LEDs on the actual baseball field's bases that can also project the Vtubers on the spot.
The Niji-Holo Baseball Exhibition Match will take place physically at the Es Con Field in Hokkaido, Japan, on May 24-25, 2025.
