When TV series are constantly moved around a network's programming week, the results can be fatal. Happy Endings, for one, was building a highly devoted cult following in its original Tuesday night slot before ABC changed it to the infamous "Friday Night Death Slot," earning the wrath of die-hard fans. Likewise, a series up against a wildly popular series on another network faces a similarly grim fate, i.e. Freaks and Geeks, which was pummelled by Who Wants to Be a Millionaire; and Firefly, up against not just one but two juggernauts in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Monday Night Football.
