Monster Hunter Wilds Japanese Guide Book Will Appear at Launch

Kadokawa Game Linkage has announced that it will release a Monster Hunter Wilds guide book in Japan on the same day Capcom releases the game worldwide on February 28, 2025. The Japanese book will have the title "Official First Play Guide," and it will be available in physical and digital formats with a tax-inclusive price tag of 2,970 yen (~$19.25).

The A4-sized book will have a total of 96 pages. Other than general explanations of the game world's settings, monsters, and items, it will also contain more detailed tips related to the large monsters, weapons, and armor parts.

Each physical copy of the book will also come with an exclusive B2-sized fabric poster that features one of the game's key visuals. A watermarked sample of the poster is available to view right below:

Kadokawa also shared a disclaimer that the guide will contain information based on the launch version of Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom has been recently known for adding post-release new content and gameplay balance updates to prior Monster Hunter entries like World and Rise, so Kadokawa warns that future update patches for Monster Hunter Wilds may make some of the book's information no longer accurate.

Monster Hunter Wilds will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC simultaneously worldwide on February 28, 2025. Kadokawa will also publish the official First Play Guide Book for Monster Hunter Wilds on the same day in Japan.
