MobLand season 1 delivered one of the finest pieces of crime television in years. It was aided by a strong set of characters, including the primary antagonist, Richie Stevenson (played by the mighty Geoff Bell). But now that Richie Stevenson has been eliminated, who is going to fill the big shoes? Perhaps someone far more dangerous than Richie is waiting in MobLand season 2.
Who can replace Richie as MobLand’s antagonist in Season 2?
The end of MobLand season 1 saw Tom Hardy’s Harry lead the war between the Stevensons and the Harrigans. It ended with Harry, Kevin, Paul, Zosia, and Kiko eliminating all of Richie’s soldiers, and ultimately Richie himself, putting a swift end to the rivalry.
But this is far from the promised land for the Harrigans. Instead, the ending of MobLand season 1 introduced the mysterious kingpin, Kat McAllister. Harry sat down with Kat McAllister at the end of episode 10 to talk about the “debt” he owed to Kat after she helped save Seraphina Harrigan from the Stevensons.
Kat McAllister informed Harry that she would call in the debt and have Harry eliminate the remaining Harrigans. She plans to take over the drug and gun trade in London. Harry refused this outright, citing his loyalty to the Harrigans. Kat threatened Harry that not listening to her was a huge mistake. This inadvertently established Kat as the primary antagonist in the upcoming season of MobLand. The mysterious woman seems set to follow through with her plan, one way or another.
Kat McAllister makes for a far more malevolent villain than Richie was. Not only does Kat have a reputation that precedes her, but she also seems to be extremely resourceful. Interestingly, not much has been revealed about the character, which makes the wait for MobLand season 2 all the more exciting.
When will MobLand Season 2 come out?
MobLand season 2 does not have a release date yet. This is because the series has not been officially renewed. Both Hardy and the creators are confident that the Paramount+ show will go on for a few more seasons, but no official confirmation has been made yet.
If it does get a renewal soon, MobLand season 2’s release date could be somewhere around mid-2026. But none of this is official just yet.
All the episodes of MobLand season 1 are currently available for streaming on Paramount+.
