Tempest announced the string of gigs on their official Instagram account with a black-and -white video clip revealing the tour poster at the end. “What you doing end of March? The intimate gigs are in support of their headline appearance at BBC Radio 6 Music festival in Manchester on Saturday March 29.

The likes of Ezra Collective and Mogwai will also headline the festival with performances at the city’s O2 Victoria Warehouse. They are joined on the bill by English TeacherPerfume Genius and Fat Dog. 6 Music’s own Jamz Supernova, Tom Ravenscroft and Sherelle will all play DJ sets at the venue too.

Tempest’s last full-length release was 2022’s ‘The Line Is a Curve‘. In a four-star review of the album, NME described ‘The Line Is A Curve’ as “frequently dazzling”. “The process of letting go has resulted in a record on which an acclaimed voice can explore human emotion with more breadth and depth than ever before,” it read.

It was preempted by the singles ‘More Pressure’ (featuring Kevin Abstract of BROCKHAMPTON), ‘Salt Coast’‘No Prizes’ (featuring Lianne La Havas) and ‘Move’ (featuring Grian Chatten of Fontaines D.C.).
