When discussing the most influential action films of all time, it would be impossible not to mention Enter the Dragon. In addition to introducing cinephiles everywhere to the tremendous talents of Bruce Leeand his incredible physicality, Enter the Dragon established a style and formula that would inspire generations of different kung fu films. While there have been many remakes of established action classics, such as Total Recall, Robocop, and Point Break, crafting a new version of Enter the Dragon always seemed like an impossibility given how sensitive Lee’s legacy was. Nonetheless, Spike Lee almost directed a remake of Enter the Dragon that would have starred Ken Jeong.
