Jonathan Majors was set to appear on Keke Palmer’s podcast this week. However, the episode has suddenly disappeared without any statement. Originally promoted for an April 8 release, the interview faced immediate backlash due to Majors’ recent assault conviction. As criticism grew, links to the episode vanished from streaming platforms.

Did Keke Palmer cancel Jonathan Majors podcast appearance?

Keke Palmer seems to have decided against airing her interview with Jonathan Majors after facing strong public criticism. The actor, who was found guilty of assault and harassment in 2023, was originally scheduled to appear on Palmer’s podcast, Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, on April 8. Instead, the episode featured rapper Kash Doll, with no mention of Majors.

A preview for the Majors interview had already been released, showing the two chatting casually. The episode was titled “No Easy Answers: Accountability and Moving Forward with Jonathan Majors” but has since been removed from all platforms. Neither Palmer nor Wondery has issued a statement about the sudden change.

The backlash started ever since Majors tried to rebrand himself without directly addressing the details of his conviction. While promoting his new film Magazine Dreams, he’s spoken vaguely about personal growth. However, the actor has avoided discussing the assault case involving his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Social media users criticized Palmer for giving him a platform, especially since she has spoken out about her own experience with domestic abuse.

In the preview clip, Palmer appeared upbeat and even fist-bumped Majors after a brief exchange about “owning the past.” The interaction didn’t sit well with many who expected a more serious conversation about accountability. One user wrote on X, “You’d think she, of all people, wouldn’t want to give a platform to a confessed and convicted domestic abuser.”

With the episode quietly pulled, Palmer has not yet addressed the controversy.
