A quick update from Larian Studios confirmed that this rollout of the new patch in some regions was not intentional and that players should roll their copy of BG3 back to the previous version as soon as possible to avoid any possible issues that may arise. The issue only affected PS5 players in Europe and Asia, and the update is no longer available.
