With her deep knowledge of Harrenhal's history and her supernatural abilities, Alys has always been enigmatic, and Fire & Blood sheds little light on her exact history. As is the style of George R.R. Martin's book, Alys' origins are left to speculation, with no option confirmed, but House of the Dragon chose to do something different.
