Childhood favorites…..

What are some books that you read during your childhood that are an absolute favorite? I think the following books would have to be my top 5 but they are in no particular order. I know I read others I’m sure but going back that far to think of what I read is hard. These are the ones that definitely stand out in my mind.

This book was one I read when I was in 4th grade and I even when to school dressed as Fern (I even brought a stuffed pig to use as Wilbur). I think I was doing a book report for school and you got bonus points if you dressed up as a character from the book.

I read this when I was a kid but I don’t remember how old I was at the time. I vaguely remember reading this book but that was a long time ago. I don’t remember doing this for a book report for school or anything so I must of just been reading this for the fun of it.

I read this book in 5th or 6th grade. The class read this book together in class and then we watched the movie based on this book once we were done. I remember finding out a little later that there was a sequel to this book and ended up checking it out from the school library so that I could read it. I actually read this book and the sequel a few years ago as an adult. It had been years since I read it so it was almost like reading a novel for the first time again.

This is another book I remember reading during my childhood, however, I don’t remember exactly how hold I was when I first read it. I do remember this is a little bit of a tear jerker. It’s a good book but you’ll probably want to keep the tissues handy.

I remember reading this book when I was in school, however, I don’t remember how old. I think this was another book where the class as a whole read this together and we got to watch the movie afterwards. I just can’t remember how old I was at the time. This one would be one I’d be interested in reading again. Plus, I don’t know if I read the whole series or any the books that follow.
