Bleeding Cain left to die in Emmerdale car crash horror

They say Karma will always come back around and by gum is Emmerdale’s bad lad Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) getting his karma right now.

Cancer, impending surgery, lost his home, wife in jail, does life – or more accurately, a car bonnet – need to hit him any harder?

Yes, because in Soapland, Karma hits twice as hard. As does a mystery driver when his foot is on the accelerator.

Cain has been battling all sorts lately, the biggest battle being that of his mind. Hitting his lowest ebb while worrying about being able to satisfy his wife, he got drunk and tried to sleep with Charity (Emma Atkins). So, some good news wouldn’t go amiss.

He does gets some for once – Moira (Natalie J Robb) tells him her murder charges are likely being dropped. It comes with an edge that the modern slavery charges remain, but baby steps, eh?

But then he learns Moira needs an MRI and his worries are back. Now he feels he can’t tell her about his surgery as she has her own problems to deal with.

Cain wants to be there for his wife as she has her scan but isn’t allowed as she’s still a prisoner. Enter bestie Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) who has a cunning plan to dodge the law – he sneaks Cain into the hospital.

Things are looking up again as Cain and Moira start getting down to it in the changing room, as Cain finally confides in her his fears for how the operation could leave him impotent. One last time for old time’s sake, eh?

Moira reassures him that she is fine with whatever the outcome is, as long as they’re together. But their happiness is set to be short lived.

Cain is full of the joys of spring and post-coital glow later when he’s walking and on the phone with Moira. Bam, life hits him again. This time it’s a car.

Kyle finds his dad unconscious and bleeding, Moira still on the phone, after he’s been run over by a car.

Is Cain…dead?
