Bianca Censori seems to have made it her life’s mission to dress like a pilates instructor on laundry day who was in a huge rush to leave the house.

The 31-year-old Australian architect and wife to Kanye West was spotted heading to a laser hair removal appointment in Los Angeles, wearing yet another outfit that asked the question: ‘Is this legal?’

Dressed in a sheer black catsuit that left very little to the imagination, complete with oversized sunglasses and a slicked-back ponytail, Bianca looked less like someone popping out for laser hair removal and more like she’d escaped from a motion-capture studio before they had time to add the CGI.

For most of us, a laser appointment is the sort of errand that inspires leggings, yesterday’s hoodie, and the silent hope nobody from school is also in the waiting room. Bianca, meanwhile, appears to dress as though the technician might need full access to every square inch of skin without asking her to remove a single item of clothing.

In fairness, consistency is hard to fault.  

Long before Kanye disappeared from public view again, Bianca had already established herself as arguably the most committed practitioner of what might politely be called ‘extreme transparency’.

If there’s a fabric available that resembles cling film, wet tights, or architectural mesh, chances are she’s already worn it to grab a latte.

At this stage, her wardrobe exists in its own strange universe where concepts like ‘casual’, ‘appropriate’ or even ‘weather’ simply no longer apply.

It’s almost impossible to separate the clothes from the performance surrounding them.

Every outing generates the same cycle: paparazzi photos appear, social media collectively asks if this is really an outfit, fashion accounts begin debating whether it’s genius or ridiculous, and then everyone moves on until the next near-invisible ensemble arrives a few days later.

Whether you admire the commitment or find it utterly baffling, you have to admit the formula works. Bianca’s street style has become an entire celebrity news genre in itself.

There’s also something undeniably funny about the contrast between the errand and the look.

Most celebrities save their headline-making outfits for premieres or after-parties. Bianca reserves hers for beauty appointments, supermarket runs, and otherwise aggressively ordinary Tuesdays.

Somewhere in Los Angeles, someone popped out to get their eyebrows threaded and accidentally found themselves sharing a waiting room with one of the most photographed outfits of the week.

Perhaps that’s Bianca’s greatest fashion achievement.

You never know whether she’s heading to a red carpet, a dentist appointment, or simply collecting a parcel.

The outfit gives away absolutely nothing (but shows everything) except that, yes, the internet will almost certainly be talking about it before she’s even made it home.
