Arsenal will get their Premier League title defence underway tonight against newly-promoted Coventry City at the Emirates.

After winning their first league title in 22 years, the Gunners will be keen to lay down an early marker to their rivals against Frank Lampard’s Sky Blues.

Summer signing Christos Tzolis will make his league debut for Mikel Arteta’s side tonight, but there is no Bruno Guimaraes after he picked up a minor knock in the Community Shield.

Arsenal are also without William Saliba and Jurrien Timber in defence as they continue their comeback from longer-term injuries.

Meanwhile, Coventry midfielder Jack Rudon has recovered from his injury but is only fit enough for a spot on his side’s bench in what is their first top-flight encounter since 2001.
