Amid Kim Soo Hyun controversy, Kim Sae Ron’s family to hold another press conference, more revelations to come

The Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun has been accused of an alleged felony and will be revealed by the attorney of the late actress Kim Sae Ron's family in a press conference at 2 pm on Wednesday. The controversy between the Queen of Tears actor and the late actress has been going on for a while, and alleged that the actor had dated her when she was a minor.

The YouTube channel Hoverlab said on Tuesday that "What we will discuss is a very serious matter. You will see why when you hear what is revealed at the press conference." In a post by Hoverlab on its YouTube channel, "The press conference will be held by Hoverlab operator Kim Se-ui and attorney Bu Ji-seok from law firm Buyou." Bu Ji-Seok is the legal representative for the late actor Kim's family.

The conference will be held at Gangnam District, southern Seoul, from 2 p.m. and livestreamed on the channel. Only members of the press will be allowed to enter the event. Kim Sae-ron's family has accused Kim Soo-hyun of dating her when she was a minor through Hoverlab and allegedly pressured her to repay a loan. Kim Soo-hyun denies the allegations, stating he only dated her after she turned an adult.

However, the actor has pressed charges against Kim Sae Ron's family and Hoverlab for allegedly sharing photos and videos of the actor and defaming his name. Kim Soo Hyun, through a legal attorney, has filed for 12 billion KRW for the damage. He further filed a stalking lawsuit against the YouTuber.

Bu and Hoverlab held two press conferences, prompting actor Kim Soo-hyun to respond with his own press conference on March 31, countering the allegations. Recently, there has been a surge of global fans who stand beside Kim Soo Hyun and launched a petition called 'Kim Soo Hyun prevention act,' which not only stands for the actor but also fights online trolls and backlash.
