So what, it’s off season, folks? There is no dull moment. Thanks to the recruits who are stirring the pot, keeping the fans on their toes with their official visits. Right now, all eyes are on the top uncommitted quarterback of the 2026 class, Ryder Lyons. Remember what quarterback coach Danny Hernandez said about the young chap? “You look at him, and he could easily be a future Heisman winner.” Lyons has been Sherrone Moore’s hot target, who wanted to hunt him down as the backup of his No.1 quarterback recruit, Bryce Underwood. However, no matter how Moore tried, he has missed the Lyons train, which once carried 40 offers. Right now, the 5-star has come down to three teams- Oregon, BYU, and USC.
So, which way is Lyons headed? Well, he wants the suspense to be building around him: “I think I could decide before the visits, to be honest. But I do know, it will be before the season. So, I’m saying July, but it could happen tomorrow too. I’m not going to say for sure.”
(This is a developing story…)
