When you’ve shared Super Bowl glory, decades of brotherly banter, and enough TV commercials to rival a sitcom run, you know the bond runs way deeper. And that’s exactly what Peyton and Eli Manning share. But every now and then, that love takes a sharp, sarcastic twist—and fans get front-row seats. That’s what happened this May 20th.

Let’s rewind for a second. “I think people don’t really believe me when I say that my favorite Super Bowl memory was watching my little brother take the New York Giants down the field in the two-minute drill and beat the undefeated Patriots and all that came with that. He did it,” Peyton Manning said. That was back in 2012 when Eli led the Giants to one of the most iconic upsets in Super Bowl history. And Peyton?

The former Broncos quarterback was just glad they never had to battle it out in the Super Bowl. He further added, “There’s that famous Bill Parcells quote after he tells their team: ‘Don’t let anybody ever tell you that you couldn’t do it because you did it.’ He did it, and he did it the right way for a long time.” The pride just keeps rolling, now with an extra dash of fun.

On May 20, Peyton took to Instagram to mark National Eli Day—yes, it’s a real day dedicated to everyone named Eli. Peyton shared a throwback photo of the two suited up, flashing that familiar Manning grin. But it was the caption that had everyone talking: “Happy National Eli Day to my incredibly handsome and younger brother Eli. May your day be everything and more.”

Sounds sweet, right? Well, Eli wasn’t buying it.

He slid into the comment section with a jab that only a younger sibling could deliver with such surgical sarcasm: “Wow, Peyt. What a thoughtful message written by you and no one else. So genuine and heartfelt.”

The internet howled. It was peak Manning humor—loving, sarcastic, and perfectly timed. Beneath all the jokes, their deep bond and respect never skip a beat.

Just this past February, the Manning duo appeared on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast. The topic of who would’ve won a Super Bowl matchup between them came up. Eli, ever the realist, didn’t hesitate.

“He’s too nice. I have not beaten him in a real game,” Eli admitted. “I’m 0-3 any time we’ve faced him in a real game. I don’t know if it would have been fun to play you in a Super Bowl or not. I mean, obviously y’all did it.”

Not only that, but the Manning brothers’ strong chemistry has often piqued curiosity before. This time, it happened after Giants legend Eli Manning captivated fans by sharing some rare photos.

Eli Manning shares captivating pictures

Eli Manning, who played 16 seasons for the Giants, consistently emphasizes his family’s affection and strong fundamentals, for which he’s clearly grateful. And once again, his special family moments have been making rounds on the internet. On Saturday, the veteran NFL player took to his official Instagram handle to share adorable yet rare pictures with his four kids: Charlie, 7, Caroline, 10, Lucy, 11, and Ava, 14, whom he shares with his wife, Abby McGrew.

“I think family is just knowing that you always have people in your life that will love you and support you through all stages of your life, through all the ups and downs that might occur,” the retired NFL player mentioned in his post caption. He also cited the quote from “Father and Child,” which is a book by Claiborne Swanson Frank.

In the recent picture he posted, the NFL dad looked elated while posing with his three daughters and one son. He was seen on a wooden walkway, holding his son Charles, while his three little girls perfectly matched the vibe in outfits similar to their dad’s. His three daughters donned white and purple floral print midi dresses. Eli Manning, who retired from the NFL on January 24, 2020, himself wore a pink and white striped shirt. However, earlier, Eli made headlines when he reflected on his sentiments for raising his kids just like his brother, Peyton Manning.

Back in 2023, during an interview with PEOPLE, the NFL legend stated that he and his wifey have been raising their kids in the same manner he and his brother, Peyton Manning, were brought up, where sports and schoolwork have equal importance.

We’re really raising them the way we were raised — playing a ton of sports. Obviously you have your school work, which is number one, but I like to keep them busy and active, trying to find out what they are passionate about. Each kid kind of has their own sport or activity that they love to do,” he stated. It’s the same blueprint that shaped two of the greatest QBs to ever lace up. And now, it’s being passed down—maybe not to create more quarterbacks, but definitely to raise good humans.
