When the PlayStation 2 launched in 2000, it was an impressive machine on its own, with a custom-built processor that made it more powerful than most PCs at the time and a built-in DVD player, which made life easier for everyone. Over its lifespan it became, and remains, one of the best-selling video game consoles of all time, with over 160 million units sold. Much of that success is due to the incredible library of games that call the PS2 home, many of which remain favorites among players.
