The latest episode of The Young and the Restless had its share of dramatic moments with Diane and Jack taking the center stage. The couple had an emotional exchange that ended with Diane breaking down in tears in front of Jack. What was it that caused her so much distress?

Here’s everything to know.

What does Diane reveal to Jack about Abbott Mansion in The Young and the Restless?

In the May 6 episode of The Young and the Restless, Diane has a heartfelt conversation with Jack. As the couple sat down for breakfast at the Abbott Mansion, Diane spoke about how the remodelling was her idea. She was happy to see Jack satisfied with the new look of the house, and he even apologized for his previous reluctance and doubt about the project. However, his brother Billy was not happy with the renovations.

Seeing Diane visibly upset, Jack asks if Billy has hurt her feelings. Although she initially stayed silent, Diane finally revealed what Billy had said that made her so dismayed. He was passionately against the remodelling and accused Diane of erasing their father’s essence from their home as a result. The hurtful statement made Diane wonder if Billy has a problem with her rather than the house.

Diane tears up confessing how much the remodelling meant to her, as she wanted to do something nice for the family. She breaks down in front of Jack, revealing how badly she wants to feel like an Abbott and can’t help but wonder if Billy is actually right about her. She is afraid that she accidentally made things worse by erasing the past from the Abbott Mansion through the remodelling. Jack then takes Diane in his arms to comfort her as she continues to sob. He then wholeheartedly apologizes to her that she never felt unconditional love from his family.
