Michelle Stafford reveals she loves the ‘Nick-Phyllis affair’ in The Young and the Restless

With a recent Instagram post, The Young and the Restless’ actor Michelle Stafford responded to fan questions. The questions were a mix of both personal life and her on-screen character, Phyllis Summers.

One of the questions asked what is her favorite storyline. “There are many. I have many, quite honestly, I love the Nick/Phyllis affair,” Stafford revealed. “I loved it because it was very, very odd that these two characters would come together. These two characters, who had been on the show the equal amount of time, for like, I think we’d both been on 10 years before they put us together. So I loved that,” she shared.

The 59-year-old actress continued to mention a few more storylines. “I loved anything I did with Phyllis/Diane, who’s played by Susan Walters,” she revealed. “There’s various scenes that I’ve loved with Phyllis and Jack. All the storylines were great, but there’s various shows that we did that I was like, wow, that was, I really loved, you know, doing that particular show,” she expressed.

Stafford also mentions her current storyline. “I like what’s happening now. I like that Phyllis is everyday sort of fighting for her life. It takes, it’s a lot of energy to play, but I like it. So there’s that one,” she shared.

In another post, she responded to whether she has ever acted in a storyline that she didn’t like or what the worst storyline was, according to her. “There’s not a bad storyline. I mean, it’s all sort of opinion. I could like a storyline, and you could hate it,” she explained.

Stafford further added, “My job is to actually not to have an opinion on the storyline. I don’t care about anything else except to do my job, and my job is they write dialogue and I say it. That’s pretty much it.”
