Moviegoers will have the chance to watch the first teasers for Avatar: Fire and Ash and Toy Story 5 in theaters, where it will be attached to the upcoming rereleases of 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water and 1995’s Toy Story. At the moment, it’s unclear if it would be the same Toy Story 5 clip that was exclusively shown to fans who attended the recent D23 event.
Avatar: The Way of Water is officially heading back to theaters for one week only starting on October 3, 2025. During its initial theatrical run, the sequel shattered box office records by becoming the third highest-grossing movie of all time with a worldwide gross of over $2.3 billion. The third installment is once again directed by Cameron, who co-wrote the screenplay with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The ensemble cast includes returning stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass, Edie Falco, and more.
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Toy Story will be coming back to theaters this September 12. Since its debut, the movie has maintained its perfect Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes. Next year, Pixar is continuing Buzz Lightyear and Woody’s story in the upcoming fifth installment, which will see the beloved characters going up against an electronic tablet named LilyPad.
