What a year it’s shaping up to be for Mark Ruffalo, who is set to return to the big screen this summer and play the Hulk in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Ruffalo’s role in Avengers: Doomsday has not been officially confirmed, but considering he’s been an integral figure in the first four Avengers movies in the MCU, it would be surprising if he was left out of the film entirely. Ruffalo moved about as far away from the MCU as you can get last year, though, by starring in the hit HBO crime series, Task, which has since been picked up for Season 2. Ruffalo is a four-time Oscar nominee, dating back to his performance in the 2010 film The Kids Are All Right and even as recently as Poor Things in 2023, but the award has evaded him to this point in his career.
