Randy Orton faced a mystery opponent at WWE WrestleMania in the form of Joe Hendry.
The Legend Killer was left without a dance partner for the huge show on Netflix after Kevin Owens was forced out of action due a legitimate and heartbreaking neck injury.
After a couple of weeks of speculation, Orton finally discovered the identity of his unknown rival after the likes of Nick Aldis, Rusev and Aleister Black were rumoured among fans.
The reigning TNA Wrestling World Champion was a huge surprise for fans in the stadium as they erupted when his music hit, and the Scottish star made his main roster WWE debut under unprecedented circumstances.
One of wrestling’s most viral stars, Joe appeared at the Royal Rumble in January, having made appearances in NXT last year.
Not surprisingly, fans couldn’t believe their eyes, loving the action even as he fell to a relatively quick loss to an RKO.

‘DUDE JOE HENDRY?! I JUMPED OUT OF MY COUCH ON THE FLOOR😭😭,’ wrote @CeleryGali2107 on X.
‘I have never been happier for a wrestler than I am for Joe Hendry,’ tweeted @bestofallmikes.
And fan @secteus’ added: ‘Joe Hendry was not the name I had in mind but the crowd was super excited. This is, without a doubt, the biggest exposure TNA will have coming from this partnership with WWE. #WrestleMania’
After the bell, Orton raised Joe’s hand and showed him a huge amount of respect before a second RKO and his own version of Hendry’s signature turn.
