Whispers are getting louder that Brooks Koepka might be eyeing a PGA Tour return, and he’s not exactly shutting them down. So where’s all this chatter coming from? It started heating up when veteran Fred Couples dropped a juicy hint, saying, “I talk to Brooks Koepka all the time. I love Brooks Koepka, and I’m not going to say anything extra except I talk to him all the time. He wants to come back. I will say that: I believe he really wants to come back and play the Tour.” Brooksie, though, is playing it cool and just vague enough to keep everyone guessing. “I don’t know where I’m going, so I don’t know how everybody else does,” Koepka said in an interview with Sky Sports. And the ranting goes on.

Like I’ve said before, I’m not in those rooms. I’ve got a contract obligation out here to fulfill, and then we’ll see what happens,” the 5x major winner said. His contract with LIV runs through 2026, and unsure of how things will go ahead, Koepka sure wouldn’t make any comments. Giving the rumors the runaround, he ended the conversation by saying, “Right now I’m just focused on how do I play better, how do I play better in majors.” Koepka may be playing it cool in interviews, but social media is telling a different story. Probably!

A fresh batch of photos popped up online just a day ago, taken in Charlotte, where the PGA Championship was held. Alayna Finau posted, “Good times in Charlotte!🪻”When you go to the 11th slide, you can see all the girls holding bouquets. And guess who’s front and center? Jena Sims, Koepka’s stunning wife! So yeah, she was hanging out with Juju Chan, who is dating Sahith Theegala; Presleigh Schultz, who is Akshay Bhatia’s girlfriend; and Alayna Finau, the wife of Tony Finau—all of whose significant others are current PGA Tour players. Does this little PGA Tour “wives and girlfriends” reunion speak volumes?

Well, Alayna Finau and Jena Sims aren’t just casually hanging out; they’re good friends who truly support each other. When Alayna faced questions online about wanting easier access to the golf greens, Jena didn’t hesitate to back her up with a strong “Tell them.” Their connection is an example of unity both on and off the course, proving that behind every great player is a great support system.

While Koepka publicly plays the vague contract card, this subtle signal from his inner circle could be another big hint that Koepka’s transition to the PGA Tour might happen after his $100M contract runs out. Back in 2024, after a tough run in the majors, he made it clear that in Chicago, when he said, “The majors were terrible. I put a lot of emphasis on those, and just cutting those wasn’t—that’s how I judge my year.” What he’s really getting at is that no matter how well he performed in LIV Golf, including his wins that season, it’s the majors that truly define his success. This clearly suggests that the PGA Tour is where his heart lies since he’d have easier access to majors from there.

Brooks Koepka isn’t the only one eyeing a return to the PGA Tour. More players are quietly making moves back.

Koepka is not the only one…

Look at Laurie Canter. After joining LIV Golf in 2022, he took home a good paycheck but lost his European Tour status. Things weren’t clicking. So, he fought his way back, winning on the DP World Tour and climbing the world rankings again. That comeback earned him a spot in the 2025 Players Championship, which turned out to be his gateway back to the PGA Tour. Even young players are starting to realize the difference between the two tours.

Eugenio Chacarra, though he has never been a PGA Tour player, definitely respects the tour way more than LIV Golf. He’s been pretty open about how LIV promised things like Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points and spots in majors. He said, “When I joined LIV they promised OWGR and majors… but it didn’t happen.” So, money aside, he decided to walk away from LIV. He went on to win the 2025 Hero Indian Open on the DP World Tour, which brought him a big step closer to his real goal by giving him a 2-year DPWT card.

Brooks might be keeping things under wraps for now, but the way things are unfolding, it won’t stay hidden for long. All eyes are on what Koepka does next.
