William Shatner has given an update on his health following reports that the star was hospitalized.

In a recent post on Instagram, Shatner debunked any rumors that he was doing unwell. The star shared a photo of himself as Mark Twain from a 2015 episode of Murdoch Mysteries alongside a caption jokingly reading “rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated!”

In a subsequent message with the photo, Shatner explained the issue and advised fans not to trust any reports or “AI” about what may have happened to him. “I over indulged. I thank you all for caring but I’m perfectly fine,” Shatner wrote. “I keep telling you all: don’t trust tabloids or AI!”

Shatner’s post comes just a few hours after TMZ reported that the Star Trek legend had to be rushed to the hospital this week. The report also had a quote from Shatner’s agent, Harry Gold, that said that the star had “an issue with his blood sugar” that required him to be hospitalized.

Thankfully, Shatner was discharged the same day after being monitored, so it seems as if the star is doing well now.
