Will Smith’s $414M R-Rated Action Movies To Stream on Hulu Very Soon

Two of Will Smith‘s most popular action movies will soon be available to stream on Hulu. The first Bad Boys movie came out in 1995, and the second premiered in 2003. Michael Bay directed both movies, with Smith portraying Miami cop Mike Lowrey. Martin Lawrence stars alongside him as his partner, Marcus Burnett, in the ensemble cast with Theresa Randle as Theresa Burnett and Joe Pantoliano as Captain Conrad Howard.

First two Bad Boys movies will stream on Hulu next month

Bad Boys and Bad Boys II will debut on Hulu on July 1, 2026. The plots of both films revolve around Smith and Lawrence’s characters as they work to dismantle violent criminal operations.

The first Bad Boys movie made over $141 million at the global box office (via Box Office Mojo). However, the movie received mixed to negative responses from critics and currently has a 46% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Radheyan Simonpillai of The Guardian gave the movie a positive review, writing, “Instead of drowning out his stars with this maximalism, Bay’s style instead puts them on a pedestal. That feels especially ground-breaking since this was the rare studio action movie at the time starring not one but two Black leads.”

Additionally, Bad Boys II has a 23% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics. Writing for the BBC, Nev Pierce was one of the few critics who responded to the movie positively. “Brash, crass, bloody and loud, it’s shameful just how enjoyable Bad Boys II is – an unapologetic, unreconstructed actioner that’s as entertaining as it is politically retrograde,” Pierce wrote. Despite the largely poor reviews it received, the movie went on to become commercially successful, earning $273.3 million globally.

Notably, some of the other movies also coming to Hulu on July 1 are Interstellar, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and 2017’s The Mummy.
