Wicked: For Good Trailer Sets Release Date, Gets New Poster

Universal Pictures has announced the Wicked: For Good trailer release date for the highly-anticipated sequel to 2024’s acclaimed musical fantasy drama. In addition, the studio has shared a new poster for the sequel, featuring Cynthia Erivo‘s Elphaba and Ariana Grande‘s Glinda on the opposite sides. The movie will arrive in theaters on November 21, 2025.

When is the Wicked: For Good trailer release date, and how can you see it?

‘The first trailer for Wicked: For Good will officially be unveiled on June 4 in North American theaters nationwide, following the one-night only special screenings of Wicked. Guests attending the special screenings will be treated to exclusive Wicked: For Good giveaways, including a limited commemorative poster.

The screenings will take place simultaneously in all North American time zones so that all attendees will be able to see the trailer at once, no matter where they live. The screenings will take place at 6 p.m. ET, 3 p.m. PT, 4 p.m. MT, and 5 p.m. CT. Following the screenings, the trailer will then be released online for viewing.

The sequel is once again directed by Jon M. Chu from a screenplay written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. Also returning for the sequel alongside Erivo and Grande are Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero Tigelaar, Ethan Slater as Boq Woodsman, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The first installment currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 391 reviews. It won two of its ten Oscar nominations, including Best Costume Design and Best Production Design.
