MANCHESTER UNITED fans have been left devastated after finding out that there will be NO open-top bus parade should their club win the Europa League final – but there’s an alternative plan.

The stakes couldn’t be higher ahead of this mammoth clash against Tottenham as United are on the verge of suffering their worst domestic season in recent history.

Ruben Amorim’s side find themselves just a couple of places above the relegation zone.

And are guaranteed to finish in the bottom half of the table – something which has never been seen before in United’s incredible Prem history.

However, lifting the Europa League title would help Red Devils fans to forget all about the embarrassing domestic campaign they have endured.

But bizarrely, the club have confirmed that there won’t be an open-top bus parade should they win it.

Why will Man Utd not have a bus parade if they win the Europa League?

Manchester United will not have an open-top bus parade partly due to the club’s incredibly hectic end to the month.

After tonight’s final, the Red Devils finish their Prem campaign at home to Aston Villa on Sunday week.

Then comes a gruelling 15-hour flight to Asia for money-spinning tour games in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong on May 28 and 30.

So United will have to wait longer for another open-top bus parade – having not held one since 2013.

What will Man Utd do instead?

If United do get the opportunity to rejoice in Europa League glory, the chiefs of the club are reportedly planning to celebrate with a barbecue instead.

However, the BBQ could be even less glamorous than it sounds – as major building work is taking place at Carrington.

It’s understood the event – for players, staff and their families – would be the day after the final.

This will come as a real shame to United fans who haven’t seen an open-top bus parade since the special occasion which heralded the Red Devils’ 20th Prem title and the retirement of manager Sir Alex Ferguson after his golden reign of 27 years.
