Speaking about his future priorities in a GQ interview, Jonathan Bailey said, “I’ve been working solidly for about three years now, which has been amazing and mind-blowing. But with everything happening in the world right now, I’m going to stop acting for a bit next year and just focus on The Shameless Fund.”

Bailey founded The Shameless Fund to create safer, freer lives for LGBTQ+ people. He explained, “Over the next few months, I’ll be focusing on staffing and making sure we get all the right people in all the right places.” Bailey also cited a striking statistic and said, “Out of every £100 raised in the UK, only 1p goes to the LGBTQ+ community. You really have to dig to find solutions, and I genuinely think The Shameless Fund is exactly that.”

Earlier, Bailey launched a sunglasses collaboration with Cubitts to raise awareness and funds for The Shameless Fund. He said, “I’ve been wearing Cubitts for, like, ten years. When I had my first fitting for Jurassic World, there was a plethora of different optical supports to choose from. But I immediately went for Cubitts because I already had history with them.” The new frames, named Loomis after his Jurassic World character Dr. Henry Loomis, feature rose-tinted lenses and design details tied to the charity.

Bailey admitted his love of glasses started early. “I do have 20/20 vision, but…I was so desperate to have them that I faked an NHS eye test when I was younger,” he recalled. “It was probably my finest performance,” he added.

While Bailey prepares to step away, industry speculation points to whether his acting break could affect the timeline of Jurassic World 5. If Bailey returns for the sequel, a lengthy pause may delay production, though a shorter hiatus might leave plans unchanged.
