Marvel Studios choosing to cancel the best MCU TV series since its critically acclaimed WandaVision was an interesting choice, one that may be a huge misstep as the fallout from the decision continues to reveal itself. In choosing to cancel Wonder Man, the MCU's TV strategy has become far hazier. The Disney+ series, which arrived as one of Marvel's most distinct and creative projects of the last several years, moved away from traditional superhero storytelling in a way that felt distinct and interesting for the franchise. Led by Yahya Abdul-Maleen II as Simon Williams, the series earned serious praise.
