Nicola Peltz has sparked speculation about her alleged rift with Victoria Beckham after excluding her from a Mother’s Day tribute. On May 12, Peltz took to her Instagram Stories to honor her mother, Claudia Heffner, and her late grandmother, sharing emotional messages and photos dedicated to them.

Peltz wrote to her mom, “Happy mother’s day to my queen. You’re my world mom and I [can’t] believe how lucky I am that I get to be your daughter.” In a separate post, she shared a heartfelt message about her grandmother, calling this first Mother’s Day without her “really hard.”

However, the absence of any mention of Victoria Beckham, Peltz’s mother-in-law, quickly caught fans’ attention. It comes amid ongoing rumors of tension between Peltz and the Beckham family.

Last week, a source told Us Weekly that there has been “bad blood” between Peltz and Victoria Beckham since before the wedding and that “things never really got smoothed over.” The source added, “The tension is still present and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it.”

According to TMZ, things have been particularly strained between Brooklyn and his father, David Beckham. The outlet reported that David “verbally berates” Brooklyn over the phone.

According to TMZ’s insider, Peltz often steps in to defend her husband and “talks back” to the Beckhams. The couple reportedly “made themselves available for months and months to discuss all of the ongoing drama.” However, the Beckhams reportedly do not want to include Peltz in the conversation. 

Fueling the rumors further, the couple skipped David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash in London earlier this month. Their absence was notable, especially as they haven’t been publicly seen with Beckham family since Christmas.
