Who is Aydan Nix?

Supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid recently revealed they have a 23-year-old half-sister named Aydan Nix. This was a family secret they had kept private until now.

The sisters explained that Aydan is the daughter of their father, Mohamed Hadid, and Terri Hatfield Dull, with whom he had a brief relationship after his 2001 divorce from their mother, Yolanda Hadid. According to the statement released by the sisters, “Over 20 years ago, our dad, while single, had a brief relationship that led to a pregnancy.” (via Daily Mail)

Raised in Florida, Nix believed another man was her father until his sudden death when she was 19. It was only after taking a genetic test out of “curiosity” that she discovered she was biologically related to Mohamed Hadid. Nix recently graduated from Parsons School of Design. She lives in New York City with aspirations to become a designer, stylist, and influencer.

The sisters shared that they had known about Aydan Nix for over a year and had first met her in late 2023. They added, “We’ve cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family. Since that first meeting, Nix has spent time with the Hadid family, including Mohamed. Mohamed Hadid’s relationship with Nix is described as “cordial and pleasant,” as per a family source. 

The statement also reads, “Aydan and her family value their privacy, and we fully respect that. We kindly ask others to do the same and honor her wish and right to her anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York.”
