White House to offer reduced food aid during shutdown after court order

The government will send partial food aid assistance to 42 million low-income Americans after federal courts last week ordered the Trump administration to use emergency funds for the payments during the shutdown, the White House said Monday. The emergency funds cover about half of the food aid budget for November.
