When Will Coyote vs. Acme Get Its Digital & Streaming Release Date?

Coyote vs. Acme is set to hit theaters on Friday. But fans are already wondering when the movie’s digital and streaming release dates will be announced. Dave Green directed Coyote vs Acme, which features a stellar cast including Lana Condor, Tone Bell, John Cena, and Will Forte. Samy Burch wrote the movie’s screenplay.

When could Coyote vs. Acme get its digital release date?

As Coyote vs Acme releases on August 28, fans can expect its digital release to be scheduled 17 to 45 days later. This will largely depend on the movie’s box office performance. While a 17- to 30-day wait is considered a fast release, the film is expected to follow a standard 45- to 60-day window. The speculation is based on the near-perfect 95 percent score the movie received on Rotten Tomatoes, drawn from 129 critic reviews.

However, if Coyote vs Acme becomes a blockbuster, the digital release date will be pushed back.

When will Coyote vs. Acme get its streaming release date?

The streaming release date for Coyote vs Acme is expected to be set for 80 to 90 days after the movie’s theatrical release on HBO Max.

Fans have observed that Warner Bros films drop on the streaming platform after an estimated 45-day window. However, if Coyote vs Acme does well at the box office, the studio might want to keep the movie in theaters longer before putting it on HBO Max.

Although Coyote vs Acme was announced in 2018, the movie took its biggest hit when Warner Bros abruptly canceled it in November 2023. According to a Decider report, the main reason for canceling a movie already made was to save money. The studio allegedly wanted to claim a tax write-off rather than release the movie and try to earn a profit. Fan and industry backlash led Warner Bros to reverse its decision.
