Weekend Box Office: Sinners Week 2 Records & How The Accountant 2 Is Losing To Star Wars Explained

At the box office this weekend, Sinners has set multiple records while The Accountant 2 has failed to dominate the incoming movies thanks to a surprise hit re-release. The latter title is the belated sequel to the 2016 Ben Affleck movie The Accountant, which saw the two-time Oscar winner playing autistic action hero Christian Wolff. Many of the movie's original stars returned, including Jon Bernthal, J. K. Simmons, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson, though Affleck's original co-star Anna Kendrick was absent. The original was a box office success, grossing $155.2 million against its $44 million budget despite its 55% Rotten Tomatoes score.
