MANY people have dead space under their stairs – but it could end up being one of the most valuable rooms in the house.

One woman shared how she transformed her “wasted space” into a stylish home office with just a few tweaks.

TikTok user @thenuehome showed how she first cleared out the space and then added a chic white desk with a wooden top.

She then turned the working space from bland to boujee by adding some chic wall art, a rug and a neon light for the wall.

Thankfully she didn’t lose her storage from the room, as she also added a wicker unit by the slanting wall to store some supplies.

She wrote: “My favourite transformation yet!

“Decided to transform our understairs cupboard from wasted storage space to my tiny office.”

Her DIY work has racked up over 1,000 likes, and people were hugely impressed with how she made an office from the space.

People were quick to comment their praise on her hard work.

One said: “So clever!”

Another added: “this is amazing !!! consider me inspired.”

A third commented: “Such a cute space.”

Offices aren’t the only ways people are using the cupboards under their stairs.

From gaming dens to enviable doggy pads, people are thinking outside the boxes with their designs.

We previously shared how one mum transformed the space under her stairs into a mini playroom for her kids.

Another cleared out her messy cupboard and moved her boyfriend’s gaming gear in to give him his own space to play – and it costs her nothing to do.

Meanwhile, a dad turned his cupboard into his personal ‘man cave’ complete with a giant TV and beanbags simply by rearranging what he already had at home.

According to IdealHome, adding a small toilet under the stairs can increase your home’s value by up to 5 per cent.
